Barcode Label Generator: what to know
The barcode label generator lays barcodes out on sheets of labels and makes a PDF ready to print. Choose a common Avery-style layout for US Letter or A4 (such as 30 per sheet, Avery 5160) or set a custom one, pick the barcode type, then fill the labels with a numbered sequence, one value repeated, or a list or CSV file. Text can go under each barcode, and you can skip labels already used on a part-used sheet.
The PDF is made in your browser with pdf-lib and keeps exact measurements, so it prints to scale when your printer is set to actual size. Barcodes are drawn as sharp vector shapes rather than blurry pictures, which helps them scan when the labels are small.
Labels are useful for stock, shelves, bins, files and products that need a barcode stuck on afterwards. As everywhere on this site, your list never leaves your device.
Popular uses
- Stock and SKU labels for a small shop or warehouse
- Shelf and bin location labels
- Asset labels for equipment and IT
- Product labels for items sold at markets or online
Tips for the best result
- Print at 100% or Actual size; Fit to page shrinks labels so they no longer line up.
- Turn on label outlines and test on plain paper first, holding it against the label sheet to the light.
- Matte labels scan more reliably than glossy ones under shop lighting.
